Because in France, food is life and it’s all about the food, I thought it appropriate to wrap up My Bold 2011 with the gambas provençales à la pastis that I had for dinner last night. It was absolutely delicious. May 2012 bring us all plenty of good things, good folks, good times and good eating! Don’t forget to follow my NEW photo blog for 2012!

Visiting our friends in Marseilles yesterday, I took a number of pix around their home as they have some interesting things displayed. The wife has a drafting table and has done some drawing and design, so I think that’s why there are things like hands lying around — for sketching practice. Or maybe she just likes to collect mannequins. I, of course, was instantly reminded of “Thing” from The Addams Family. Still such an American, no matter what I do. ;)

Hi! I found your blog thru your Weight Watchers blog post, and I'm in love! I am going to Paris next month for 2 weeks and am staying in an apartment in Montmartre, so your pictures of the area are wonderful. I hope you keep up this Tumblr past 2011 :)

Uh-oh… New year coming up. Name change?

Just realized this blog is called My Bold 2011. And 2011 is nearly history. I could create a whole new photo blog for 2012 but that seems like a lot of unnecessary work for me, and for you if you’ve bookmarked this.

Stay tuned. I’ll figure it out in the next few days.
